Join conservationists and biologists Nick Mooney for very deep expeditions around reserves, beaches, wetlands, rainforests, national parks and Alpine Tasmania landscapes to find a variety of wildlife, stunning flora and ancient geological features.


Hope to see everything from Devil Tasmania, Platypus, small penguins and eastern quoll along with many birds and endemic species. With only 10 places available, all guests will have deep personal experience, in an intimate atmosphere designed to have a low impact on places visited.


Travel with expedition vehicles, walking and by boat living in various accommodations from the luxury of 4-star to farms and lodges built in the rainforest. Visit the Hobart capital, Mount Field National Park, Mount Cradle, Maria Island, Eaglehawk Neck and Bruny Island.


This tour is ideal for those who have all levels of expertise, because they act as fantastic introduction to flora, fauna, and the amazing geology of Tasmania and how it is protected while allowing them with deeper understanding to observe many species on land, in the sky and at sea ,


Day 1: Arrive at Hobart and visit Bonorong and Hobart reserves


Upon your arrival at Hobart Airport make your way to Hobart's The Old Woolstore Apartment Hotel and meet your conservationist guide Nick Mooney and groups for introductory meetings and dinner. After that, visit Bonorong and Hobart reserves nearby to find some Tasmanian nocturnal creatures. Chances are you will see a variety of animals including Pademelon, Bennett's Wallaby, Possum, Sugar Glider, Bandicoots, Potoroo who is a long-nosed, East Bettong, Tawny Frogmouth, and Southern Boobook. There is also an opportunity to find tasmanian subspecies threatened with extinction of masked owls and quoll eastern. It's a lot for your first day in this extraordinary expedition.


Day 2: Lagoons and wetlands


This morning you will visit the Tasmania Museum, the archipelago leads nature, cultural and heritage museums. Then you will travel from Hobart to Hamilton. On the way you will stop at Lagoons to see speckled ducks, Australian shoveller, purple swamp chicken, black-fronted dotterel, big embre and probably Lewin's Rail and Musk Lorike.


At night check-in to Curringa Farm Stay Cottages for two nights where you will meet with the 6th generation Tasmanian farmer and learn about their agricultural conservation projects.


Day 3: Mount Field National Park


You will spend the day explore this beautiful area and walk the wet forest with giant white wooden trees to look for pink robins, black currawong, green rosella and other Tasmanian endemic birds. Plus witness a spectacular waterfall flowing to the side of the mountain field. Higher in the park, you will visit the Alpine area where you will experience a landscape that was previously chain on the lake and Tarns, strange Alpine Flora, and had a good opportunity to see Tasmanian Thornbill, scrubbhren, scrubtite and various honey. After dinner, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a night tour further.


Day 4: Travel to Mount Cradle Area


Today is mainly a day of traveling when you work north to Mount Cradle, visit wildlife asylum on the way to the opportunity to see Platypus, one of Australia's unique animals. You will stop at intervals regularly throughout the day to stretch legs and photograph scenery. In the afternoon, you will check in to the Lemonyme Wilderness Lodge hidden in the rainforest.


Day 5: Exploring Mount Cradle


You will spend the day exploring Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park which forms a part of the UNESCO-West World Heritage area. One of the most famous national parks in Australia protects a large glacial landscape. It also provides an opportunity to see general wombats and some ancient Gondwarran flora which is only found in Tasmania.


After checking and enjoying dinner at the Cradle Mountain Hotel, you will take the night drive for the opportunity to see the endangered Satan Tasmanian.


Day 6: Head towards the East Coast and Freycinet National Park


Today you leave the Tasmania highlands and head to the east coast, exploring on the way. You will visit the Reserve Wetlands which will provide our best opportunity to see Platypus, hopefully with a relatively close range too. If time is possible, you will visit Freycinet National Park, another destination Iconic Tasmania is famous for its beaches with white sand and blue water.


You will check into the Bicheno Beach motel for two nights and after the early dinner, explore the experience of wildlife "devil in the dark" which aims to maximize the opportunity to photograph Devil Tasmania which is difficult to understand under natural conditions (free distance animals in the groundpiners ).


Day 7: Maria Island


Today you travel to Township southeast Triabunna to ride the ferry to Maria Island. This pedestrian island (and bicycle) was declared as a national park in 1972. Now this is a sanctuary for various birds and mammals Tasmania including the Goan Forester Kangaroo and Cape Gandus. Over the past few years, he also provided additional protection to the Devil Tasmania insurance population that developed on the island.


After returning to Triabunna on the ferry in the afternoon, the trip back to Bicheno and after dinner, there might be a chance to walk the night to see small penguins.


Day 8: Travel to Eaglehawk's neck


Today you will proceed south to Peninsula Tasman visiting backup and wetlands along the way. When you arrive at Eaglehawk Neck there will be an opportunity to visit some of the nearby rock geological formations and see a spectacular coastline, and if the time permission to explore Tasman National Park before checking into the Lufra hotel in the Gulf of Pirate.


Day 9: Eaglehawk Neck


This morning you will take a private rental ship (depending on the weather), making your way of becoming the extent of the South Ocean in searching to a pelagic bird site and marine mammals. The diversity of high species and proximity of the continental shelf has gained the international reputation of Tasmania as an excellent place to see pelagic species.


Not long after you left Pirate's Bay plow, you will face a short-tailed Shearwater in a considerable amount. This is also one of the best places on this planet to see the diversity of albatross. When you approach the continental Shelf, you might see various Petrels and there are often surprises in stores with more than 30 species of mammals as possible in this waters including Australian feather seals, whales supported by whales and barriers.


Above your land, you will go to Bruny Island, which is located 40 km south of Hobart and separated from the mainland of Tasmania by the d'Entrecasteaux channel. When on the ferry trip across the channel carefully for penguins and small dolphins beside it. We will arrive on time for dinner.


For the next two nights you will stay at the Inala Cottage or Explorer's Cottages.


Day 10: Bruny Island


Bruny Island is an untouched wilder forest classified as an important bird area because of the abundance of endangered and endemic bird species.


Today you will focus on photography in 1,500- Acre Private Wildlife Property "Inala". Various platforms and birds have been established around the property in strategic wildlife places to maximize your chances of viewing and photographing various mammals and bird life. It will include a visit to Hide Raptor Photography, where various species include endangered gray goshawk (white morph), Swamp Harrier, Brown Goshawk, white-grained sea-eagle (also threatened species in Tasmania) and Falcon Brown regularly visit. If you are truly lucky, the threatened form of Tasmanian from the wedge tail eagle will also call.


You will also visit a special built 4M platform where you can see and photograph one of Australia's smallest and most rare birds, Pardalote forty threatened with extinction.


Tonight after dinner, you have the choice to visit several sites for several nocturnal mammal photography, including Eastern Quoll which is a relative of the devil Tasmania. You may also be lucky to see the forms of Albino from Bennett's Wallaby and the rarely occurring possum brushes among normal dark animals on Bruny Island.


Day 11: Return to Hobart


This morning we will visit the sign in Inala again before leaving with a relaxing trip to the ferry. After the ferry intersection you will visit some reserves that have excellent habitats for bird life on the way to Hobart, the last chance to photograph special birds of islands. It completes your circular trip from Tasmania and tonight you will return to the old Woolstore apartment where there will be a farewell dinner and separation to your guide.


Day 12: Departing Tasmania


This morning after breakfast transfer to Hobart airport where you can say goodbye to the State of Tasmania.
